Alright, Jessica.... you have (yet again!) got me out of my writing slump... Quite frankly I didn't wanna wait this long, but it just seemed like one day passed, then two.. then twenty... then almost 30...
alright.. lets go down the list, shall we??
they're old news to me so most sections will be rather blunt and to the point..
CAPS CAPS is our campus pub... went a few times, drinks are expensive (unless you hit the $2.50 tuesdays) so I try to limit my visits to, well, NOT once a week.
Jackass Pre-Pub We have theme pubs here, like I'm sure everywhere else has. Which is really cool sometimes... The Halloween pub is the biggest one of the year, but isn't for another couple of weeks. And besides, the lineup to get into that thing is literally in the hundreds of people long category... The Jackass Pre-Pub was a night that was put on by the HSF (Humber Students Federation). It featured Jackass - The Movie, then after the movie they had Humber Jackass. In Humber Jackass, 3 guys got up on the stage in the Pub and had to do specific tasks for points. The person with the most points got a trip to Daytona.. must be nice, eh? Anyway, the first guy had to use a breast pump on himself, and if he did he got 10 points, BUT if he ACTUALLY got something to come out, he got 50... Apparently not only females but guys on sterroids can get something to come out... Mr. Bones there obviously wasn't on any sterroids, and was awarded a tiny sum of 10 points.
The next one involved dry-humping a blowup sheep. If it was done, 10 points.. if it was done in his boxers, 50 points. If it was done NAKED... 100 points... and finally, Naked with a condom? 500 points... he only went down to his boxers.
I went home after this... the night wasn't that entertaining.
Movies, Movies, Movies I've been watching a ton of movies lately..
ok, you know what? screw the list.. I'm picking out the important ones...
Shakespeare at Hart Hall Devonna, Beth, and myself rather spontaneously went to see a play a while back. It was at the UofT Hart Hall, and was titled "As You Like It". It was fantastic. The lead female in the play had, without a doubt, the most expressive face I've ever seen on stage. I could swear her face had a silent voice. so expressive. so insightful into herself and her character... The play was good, and I enjoyed it... maybe because I got to sit next to a total sweetheart, but that's beside the point......
hmm... something is coming over me.... I am feeling less of a need to write about what is in my list, and more of a need to write about Elizabeth. I really hope she doesn't mind me writing this here. I'm almost certain that she doesn't read my blog, though.
Two weeks ago this Saturday, my life here in residence began to change. Elizabeth (better known to her friends simply as "Beth") and I have, since we've been here, been the source of constant ribbing by our mutual friends. She and I clicked, and that was very obvious to everyone else. We had just toughed out the friendly slander... letting comments to the like of "just go out on ONE date" slip off of our shoulders like so many leaves in the breeze.
Until two weeks ago Friday.
It was weird. I mean, we had stayed up and talked before.. We had stayed up and watched movies... but this night of staying up and watching tv was different. Maybe because it was the first night we stayed up all night together and watched the sunrise.
The following day was nap time... until the evening came once more and she went into her lounge.. I *almost* didn't go, but thought a little tv wouldn't harm anything. We watched tv together, and had yet another night of eachother's company, and another sunrise. That morning we got breakfast and went to my room to watch the third Back to the Future movie. You see, Beth, Alicia, and myself watched the first two a few weeks ago... this was the "night to remember at Temptation Kyland" I mentioned in my last entry. This was yet another night we all stayed up together and just watched movies and talked.
So we watched the third movie, and somehow we both were on the same page and... well lets just say that was the start of my (as of this weekend) two week long perma-smile. :)
I wonder how many relationships have started with a sunrise... or two, for that matter...
I'm going to end this entry on that note because.. well, because it's my blog and I say so....
*hops down off of soapbox...*
Until next time......
*fade to black*
