Elvis Presley-My Way

August 16th 1977 saw the passing of a man that epitomized, and even re-invented the word "awesome."

he was 42 when he died, making him forever young and, if you were to ask some, immortal.

this video of him is from the concert he put on in Hawaii in 1972 (at age 37). This was the world's first EVER live satellite broadcast... as a fundraiser for cancer, i believe, $75,000 was raised for research.

This song is, without a doubt, my favourite of all time... Written by Paul Anka, it was made famous by Frank Sinatra. I believe this was the last song that Sinatra performed before he passed away in 1998. Could be wrong on that one, but that's what i thought i read at one point... anyway.........

I was just listening to 102.1 The Edge...
they mentioned the "Donkey Punch".. I just learned what it was... I haven't laughed this much in a while... that made my day.

The term "To Screw" isn't as logical as you think... it's not the action of driving a screw into wood that the term comes from... it's actually pretty cool - it's Latin, from the word "skrewe", which means "breeding sow".

now you know... and knowing is half the battle...

There comes a time in every man's life where he must test himself. Test what he is made of, and push the envelope of his limits back beyond all passion and reason... I'm not talking mere events like mountain climbing, or base jumping, or even russian roulette...

I'm talking about dressing up in a banana suit, getting your buddy to douse you in rubbing alcohol, and then light yourself on fire with a BBQ lighter.

Moral of the day? "Fire is baaaaaad.... Kids, dont play with matches.."
