Everybody loves Mr. T!!!
Here are some Interesting Facts you didn't know about T!

I pity da foo' dat dont read my list! Enuff o' dis jibba jabba - read on, Sucka!

World champion eater Takeru Kobayashi once ate 53.5 hot dogs in 12 minutes. Allotted the same time, Mr. T ate Kobayashi.

The vegetarian group PETA one time tried to establish the catchprase "We PETA the fool who eats animals." Upon learning of this blatant theft of his catch phrase, Mr. T founded McDonalds.

Mr. T's edition of the VH1 show 'Where Are They Now' was the shortest in the show's history. It was 10 seconds long, and consisted of a black screen with the words "Right Behind You" written on it.

There is a 11th commandment, edited out of the Bible, that says "None of the above applies to Mr. T."

Mr. T is allergic to doorknobs. That's why he can only kick through doors.

Mr. T once got into a fight with a ninja. He killed the ninja, but only after the ninja had cut off two of his fingers. Those fingers grew up to be Gary Coleman and Webster.

Originally the A-Team was named T-Team and consisted of Mr. T and six of his genetically engineered clones driving around in a van made of pure gold. Producers changed the format after every criminal known to man was killed in the pilot episode.

Mr. T's infamous catch phrase was misunderstood to be "I Pity The Fool" when it was actually "I Pee In Your Food". Mr. T then proceded to eat a bag of kittens.

Mr. T's autobiography, "So Many Fools, Not Enough Pity," was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for its heartwarming and inspiring tales of Mr. T overcoming his fear of flying, and his battle with gold-addiction--as well the sweet tutorial on how to install machine-gun turrets on top of a GMC van using a welding torch, a 55-gallon drum, chicken wire, and skim milk.

Until next time.......

The Cowbell is back, and i've moved some stuff around...

the next things to go will be those links over on the left there, considering they dont really do anything...

as a fun thing to do, why not check out all of my old websites? the interactive functionality doesn't quite work in all of them anymore, but they're fun to go back and look at...

The New Void!
The Original Omega Void

I have a few others, like a Star Wars fan site I made back when i was a tyke and was getting excited about Episode 1 coming out (i believe it was Grade 9 sometime)... but it's not online (for good reason!)

Anyway, there are some good pics in there, and some funny stories and images... Enjoy!

Until Next Time.......

In the spirit of upcoming movies, here's a few that got my attention:

Rambo 4 - Apparently this is going to be another Stallone movie... set for release in a couple of years.. the last Rambo movie was made in 1988... But who knows? Arnie, when he did T3, still fit the part (although the movie didn't really match the series).. so maybe Sly will fit it too?

Saw III - yes, Saw is coming out with a third movie, not surprisingly. Gregg Hoffman, the producer of Saw 1 and 2 is quoted with saying, "Yes, there's going to be a SAW III, and yes, we will do our best not to fuck it up." So there you go..

Speaking of the Terminator series.... (I think i just heard a collective groan come over all of you).. Yes, it's right.. the series is NOT dead. "C2 is in "the final phases of development" of a fourth Terminator film and that the series will have a link to what's being envisioned as a new feature trilogy." The "Series" they speak about is a television series that takes place between the second and third movies... Following Sarah Conner and her life on the run. So far Arnie isn't on for the movie yet, and that's understandable considering it's not really about him. Apparently this will be a spin off of the original trilogy... we'll see how this movie (and tv series) turns out..

One, Two, Freddy's coming for you.... - Yep, Freddy is coming back, and this time he's gonna attempt to kick ass against Michael Myers in the next film.. I love these cross over movies - very creative... Maybe a Rambo vs. Terminator movie? lol An alternative to this is a prequel movie to Freddy vs. Jason, and that is Freddy vs. Jason and Michael Myers...... can anyone say there's a major handycap there? the only way Freddy could win is if he got into their dreams again... but why would they recycle that story line (which was awesome by the way).

Marvel Madness - Screw the Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Hulk, etc.. movies... Why not have them all in one?? SURE! Set for a 2008 release, there will be a Marvel movie.. cant wait! Fresh on the heels of Spiderman 3 and Fantastic Four 2 set for a summer 2007 release..

The City of Sin will return for another go as well... - Sin City 2 is also in the works. I'm impartial to this one. The only thing that impressed me from the first movie was it's cinematography... The story was slow as all ass, and so disjointed... I understand that was it's intent.. and i understand all the "Film Noir" BS, but meh - just not my style. This will also be a prequel, and the working title is "A Dame To Kill For"... it's just in the talks now, with no expected dates.

Lookin' for Lobe (in all the wrong places) - Yes.. a Mike Tyson movie...

If it Bleeds, then you can kill it - They're doing a remake to Predator... WHY?? WHY GOD WHY??? the movie is awesome as it is... Worst part? John Cena, Wrestler from the WWE, is slated to take the lead.... i repeat.. WHY GOD???

Hey Bitch, I said Shaken!!!!! - That's right... James Bond is coming back in the 20th installment of Bond movies - Casino Royale. Think of this as.... The Batman Begins of James bond... they go into *why* Bond is the way he is, the first and only real love of his life, and why he treats most ladies as one night stands.. should be interesting... I'll miss Brosnan as Bond, but this new guy might work too...

So there u go.. i got bored, so i decided to let you in on some future movies... Enjoy!

Until next time.......

I nearly sh*t my pants last night when i saw this trailer on TV..
I cant *WAIT* for this movie!

Superman Returns

This is a *direct* sequel from the original Christopher Reeve series. Not like Batman Begins where they took creative license and re sculpted the story from the original series... this one is staying true to form.. So much so that they're using a lot of the same original sets, and props (like Supes' spaceship) from the original movies.... outstanding...

Interesting points about this movie - Kevin Smith (better known as Silent Bob, and the director of Mall Rats, Dogma, and a very accomplished comic writer) wrote a script in the early 1990's centered around the comic book story line where Superman is killed by a villian named Doomsday. I have the Death of Superman Comic book if you ever care for a quick read... Tim Burton (yes, him... the brilliant mind behind Batman, Batman Returns, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc) was immediately brought on... and Nicholas Cage was brought on as Superman (with Sandra Bullock as Lois)... They actually started the production process, and even had release posters saying "Superman Lives - 1998" with a silver "S" logo on a black backdrop... But the studio cancelled this, and all the actors and staff (including Burton) left.

This movie has taken almost 15 years, and 3 big name studios, as well as about a hundred different cast changes to get off the ground... and it's doing so next year.... I cant wait!!!!

and oh yes... John Williams is being brought back to do the score... AHHHHHHH...

Until next time.......

Remember the Terminator movies? Remember Cyberdine Systems? They're the ones that controlled all the robots that eventually destroyed the world.

Sony is the real world's Cyberdine.

If you guys dont follow any sort of tech news, I've got a doozie for you. It was discovered last week that when you insert a Sony music CD into your computer, that CD implants something called a Root Kit. I say implant because a Root Kit doesn't simply install.... it literally digs it's way into the core of Windows itself so that your virus scanner doesn't even know it's there because WINDOWS DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IT'S THERE!!! It thinks it's a part of the operating system.

When you put the CD into your drive a box will pop up asking you if you want to install something along the lines of 'extended' or 'interactive' features.. so you obviously click 'yes' because you think you'll get some cool videos or a link to some great sites about the artists...

Wrong.

It's worse than spyware, it's worse than adware... basically it opens up a direct line of communication between you and Sony Music and they can find out what you're doing with your music... whether you're trying to rip it, what you're playing... basically anything they want to find out.

Of course, the box that pops up has a EULA..... so it should be ok, right??

What's that you ask? What's a EULA? Yea, dont worry about it if you dont know because not many people read them... I never have. It's the End User Licence Agreement. Basically it's the contract that you sign stating that it's ok for whatever software to install what it needs to to run. But who reads those? When you install something you just keep clicking 'next' or 'ok' until you're done right?

So it's our fault, as consumers, that we dont read the EULA therefore Sony Music is not responsible for their actions....

If only that were true - because NOWHERE in the Licence Agreement does it say ANYTHING about the nature of the Root Kit OR what it does!!!!

As a result of this, the entire State of California is sueing Sony Music.... The ENTIRE COUNTRY OF ITALY is sueing Sony over it... And those are just the first two.. And now the police are involved...

So this is really big news.... It's insane!

A couple other little things to show you Sony has really gone over the edge... In the very same EULA that doesn't talk about the Root Kit, it states that, and I'll paraphrase, 'If you file for bankruptcy, you must destroy all Sony Music on your harddrive.'

Oh, I forgot to mention....... They've been doing this for the last few years so chances are if you have ever inserted a Sony CD in the last few years into your computer - you're infected...

Happy Musicing!!!!!!

Until next time.......

See? I do actually blog when i have stuff to talk about.

Justin and I have a great idea for our show that is, right now, set for a January 2006 release. The idea is being pitched to a popular online radio station, and they have shown great promise in the idea so we'll see!

Aside from all the show planning, I've been busy yet again with job interviews. I had one last Friday at The Hilton Garden Inn in Oakville. Really nice place. They called me a couple hours later after my interview and asked to see me again - this time with the General Manager of the hotel. I had that meeting yesterday. Tasha, the guest services manager (and my potential future boss) called me today and said she didn't have time to talk to the GM about it today, but she'd let me know by tomorrow. Only 3 people got to this stage of interviews, and they're hiring 1 or 2, so I'm optimistic.

Nothing else is new as far as I'm concerned. My car is making a horrible squeaking sound coming from the back end... and i dont own a pair of jack stands so i cant lift the car up to get under it... maybe it's time to go back to canadian tire and buy some.. use them.. and return them like i did with the ramps a couple months ago... I know it's not really ethical, but I justify it by saying that they're not out any money - they WILL sell that product... just not to me.

That's all for now.. might get more ambitious later and write...

Until next time.......

Better qualified and more experienced.

Those were the words that Todd used on the phone to describe the individual that they decided to hire.

Yep, I just got off the phone with him now and they've offered the spot to someone else. I'm not as upset over it as I thought I'd be, to be honest. Yes, it's something I've wanted for the last few months. Yes, I'm kind of disappointed. But then I think to myself: Why did I want this specific job in the first place?

Well, people always want to do what they're good at - and I would have been great at that job. But my main goal was to apply what I had learned from working there for the last year and a bit, and put that knowledge into action to make that place run more smoothly because, in all honesty, it's falling apart. They implemented a stricter (read: more complicated to manage) guest policy that was supposed to make things easier, and instead it's tearing the operation of the desk down from the inside. I warned them at the staff meeting all those months ago that it was a bad idea. I told them there had to be better ways, but unfortunately they didn't listen to me. It takes up so much of their time now that they have literally NO time to do anything else.. so no other work gets done..

couple that with the fact that the staff they hired there in september is just not able to handle all that work and they have a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, enough of that venting, my main goal was to make things better and to take the brunt of the difficulties off of Paul, a buddy of mine that works there. He was hired in September as the Front Desk Lead - a regular student like everyone else who works there but he's in charge of the schedules and stuff.. Basically, it's just a position of slightly more responsibility than the rest... And he was being put through a lot, and i wanted to take some stress away from him because he was starting to crumble.

So the way i see it is if the individual they hired is better qualified and more experienced, then they'll be able to do all of that - and possibly more. That makes me feel better about the whole thing.

Anyway... on another note, which could very well be an additional reason as to why i'm not entirely upset, I have a back-up job waiting for me. It's not confirmed yet, but i was told if i want the job then I'll probably be hired the same day as I apply. It's at the Hilton in Oakville. This job might end up being better suited for me, because they actually offer benefits (after working there for 6 months)... they'll work around my schedule and give me as many hours as i want.. Which is great for when I decide to go back to school. No, it's not a live-in position.. and Yes, I'll remain living at home... but it's not all bad... I'll have less expenses this way. So in the end, i guess it all evens out...

Looks like the motto of "always look on the bright side of life" really works.. Thank you all for your support though... I know a lot of you were really hoping along with me that i got it.

Until Next Time.......
